The DAISY project will be represented at the 32nd Annual Conference of the International Sustainable Development Research Society (ISDRS), taking place in Vitória, Brazil, and online from 7–11 July 2026. Bringing together researchers, policymakers, practitioners and sustainability professionals from around the world, the conference provides an international platform for advancing interdisciplinary solutions to today’s most pressing environmental and societal challenges. This year’s theme, Transforming Global Challenges into Sustainable Opportunities: Collaborations and Partnerships Across the Globe, highlights the importance of cooperation, innovation and knowledge exchange in accelerating sustainable transformation.

As part of the conference programme, Alex Franklin will present DAISY‘s work on Transformative Intervention Mixes, showcasing how combinations of complementary interventions can strengthen transformative change for biodiversity and sustainability. Rather than relying on isolated actions, the approach explores how governance, participation, policy, social innovation and practical interventions can reinforce one another to create lasting systemic change.

In addition to her presentation, Alex Franklin will serve as co-chair of the conference track on Public Participation and the Role of Social and Environmental Innovation. The track examines how meaningful public engagement, collaborative governance and innovative social practices can support more inclusive and effective sustainability transitions. It provides an opportunity for researchers and practitioners to exchange experiences on strengthening participation in environmental decision-making and translating research into practical impact.

DAISY’s contribution reflects the project’s commitment to developing practical, evidence-based approaches that connect research with real-world transformation. By participating in ISDRS 2026, the project joins an international community working to turn sustainability challenges into opportunities for collaborative action and long-term systemic change.
