Rural areas across Europe face two compounding problems: people are leaving, and climate change is adding new pressures. RUDI looks at both issues together, developing innovation and transformation pathways that help rural communities adapt to demographic and climate challenges at the same time.
1) Analyse demographic decline and climate pressures in rural Europe. 2) Develop innovation pathways addressing both challenges together. 3) Support transformation processes for rural communities. 4) Share findings to inform rural policy design.
