Elsa Tsioumani, Transdisciplinary Institute for Environmental and Social Studies, attended the sixth session of the Subsidiary Body on Implementation (SBI 6) of the Convention on Biological Diversity, held from 16-19 February 2026, in Rome, Italy. She showcased DAISY research by sharing DAISY’s policy brief on barriers and levers for transformative policy making, which highlights the main conclusions and key messages of an analysis of the transformative potential of five major EU policies conducted by DAISY.
SBI 6 focused on promoting implementation of global commitments under the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, including through supporting national policy action, building scientific and technological capacities, and mobilising financial resources.
