We’re proud to be part of Day 1 with a session we’re contributing to: 🏙️ “How are cities and communities reimagining development within planetary limits?” (Monday, 18 May – 11am CEST)
From Budapest’s Degrowth Doughnut to grassroots urban transition, we’ll share practical frameworks that put wellbeing and ecological balance at the heart of local decision-making.
This session draws directly on work we’re doing through DAISY — a research project exploring how systemic interventions can drive change for biodiversity and equity. In Budapest, DAISY supports the Degrowth Doughnut by assessing biodiversity indicators, delivering a cost–benefit analysis of the intervention portfolio, and integrating findings into local development strategies — from public transport to climate planning. All of this is grounded in ongoing collaboration with Budapest actors to monitor implementation and feed lessons back into broader policy recommendations.
Whether you’re a practitioner, policymaker, or simply curious about what a different kind of city could look like — this is for you.
Veronika Kiss, GreenFormation will host a session on DAISY’s Budapest degrowth donut case – join us online to connect, exchange ideas, and be part of the conversation.
