The Pro-Coast project is about the riches of nature (biodiversity) in European coastal ecosystems. Around 40% of Europeans live within 100km of the coast, where there is continuing loss of natural services that provide food, water, health and recreation.
European wetlands are of high ecological value for societies. At the same time, they are increasingly under threat.

BIONEXT focuses on knowledge, tools, and guidance for mainstreaming biodiversity into policymaking and provides concrete options on how to initiate, accelerate and upscale biodiversity relevant transformative change in society.
