The construction sector needs more sustainable, locally sourced materials, and there’s a lot of usable waste — like textile scraps or seagrass — going unused. HUBS4BUILD sets up local ‘Circularity Hubs’ that develop new bio-based building products and bring together local communities, businesses and authorities to make it happen.
1) Co-design Circularity Hubs with local stakeholders. 2) Develop and validate bio-based construction products from local waste. 3) Deploy solutions across 13 operational sites, training local professionals. 4) Scale and replicate the model through a wider hub network.
