Builds partnerships to strengthen bioeconomy research and innovation in Central and Eastern Europe and neighbouring countries.

Context

Central and Eastern European countries, along with Western Balkan nations, Ukraine and Moldova, often have less developed bioeconomy research systems than Western Europe. BIOEASTWIDE builds a structured, long-term network and roadmap to help these countries build stronger bioeconomy research capacity and connect to EU funding and industry.

Main objectives

1) Build a structured bioeconomy research and innovation network. 2) Map existing ecosystems and develop a joint roadmap. 3) Support widening countries with tailored engagement strategies. 4) Strengthen funding management skills across the region.
