Context

Cities need detailed, real-time air pollution data to protect public health and comply with new EU rules, but current monitoring is often patchy. VISIONAIR combines satellite, sensor, drone and citizen-collected data with AI models to create detailed pollution maps and ‘digital twins’ that help cities plan cleaner air policies.

Main objectives

1) Build a multi-sensor monitoring network combining satellite, ground and citizen data. 2) Develop AI models for pollution source tracking and forecasting. 3) Create Urban Digital Twins for scenario testing. 4) Deliver best-practice guidelines for wider European adoption.
