Not defined

Uses storytelling, art and evidence to change how the public sees farming and make it a more attractive career.

Context

Farming is often seen as low-status or unattractive, especially to young people, which is a real problem for the future of European agriculture. HARVEST combines data analysis with creative storytelling — theatre, film, exhibitions — to change public perceptions and inspire new people to consider farming as a career.

Main objectives

1) Analyse socio-economic and cultural factors shaping farming’s public image. 2) Use storytelling and creative arts to shift perceptions. 3) Develop a ‘Campaign-in-a-Box’ communication toolkit. 4) Support new pathways into farming for underrepresented groups.
