Small-scale, long-distance and recreational fishing often lacks good data, making it hard to manage sustainably. DigiWaves develops digital tools and data standards for these types of fishing, working with real fishing communities to build practical prototypes that improve transparency and trust in fisheries data.
1) Co-design digital tools for data-driven fisheries management. 2) Test solutions with small-scale, long-distance and recreational fisheries. 3) Build a robust framework for data quality and standardisation. 4) Align solutions with fisheries policy and governance structures.
