Context

BioCORE builds a factory-style process (‘biorefinery’) that converts leftover plant material from farms into useful products, while running entirely on renewable energy and using AI to manage energy use efficiently. The goal is a cleaner, more efficient way to process biomass.

Main objectives

1) Design an end-to-end biorefinery process for agricultural residues. 2) Run the process on 100% renewable energy. 3) Optimise water, solvent and energy use with digital and AI tools. 4) Demonstrate a climate-neutral biomass production chain.
