Combines behavioural science, AI forecasting and real-world pilots to help Europeans shift to circular consumption.

Context

Most people still buy, use and throw away products in a linear way, and it’s not clear what actually gets them to change. BELOOP studies people’s habits and barriers, uses AI to predict which interventions would work best, then tests the most promising ones in real life across electronics, packaging, mobility and textiles.

Main objectives

1) Map barriers and motivations behind consumer behaviour. 2) Use an AI tool to forecast the impact of possible interventions. 3) Test interventions in real-world pilots across four sectors. 4) Deliver replication toolkits and policy playbooks for EU-wide uptake.
