Africa and Europe both need stronger, more joined-up systems for sharing agricultural knowledge and innovation. AKIS4FNSSA builds a platform connecting researchers, farmers and policymakers on both continents to speed up the shift towards climate-resilient, agroecological farming.
1) Assess and strengthen the joint AU-EU knowledge and innovation system. 2) Build an inclusive multi-actor engagement platform (the AKIS Nexus). 3) Support agroecological transitions in African and European food systems. 4) Build lasting institutional capacity and a community of practice.
