Not defined

Turns war-damaged land and rubble in Ukraine into resources for green, community-led reconstruction.

Context

Conflict leaves behind contaminated soil, polluted water and mountains of debris, but EQUATERRA sees these as raw materials for rebuilding rather than just problems. It develops ways to turn debris into new building materials and uses nature-based methods to heal the land, working closely with local communities.

Main objectives

1) Transform debris into bio-enhanced building materials. 2) Use nature-based solutions to remediate contaminated soil and water. 3) Pilot solutions in Ukraine through community-driven projects. 4) Deliver a replicable model for post-conflict green reconstruction worldwide.
