Not defined

Develops an early-warning system combining sensors, AI and new treatments to detect and control crop diseases.

Context

Plant diseases threaten crops and food safety, and climate change is making the problem worse. SENTRY combines drones, sensors, AI and new low-chemical treatments (like UV light and cold plasma) to spot disease risks early and respond before they spread, cutting pesticide use.

Main objectives

1) Develop and test low-chemical disease-control methods (biocontrols, UV-C, cold plasma). 2) Build AI-powered detection and risk-forecasting tools. 3) Pilot the system across multiple crops and countries. 4) Reduce pesticide use and post-harvest losses while improving food safety.
