Studies rural housing problems and develops practical, community-based solutions for affordable, resilient homes.

Context

Rural areas across Europe face empty homes, ageing populations and unaffordable housing, alongside untapped potential in their social and cultural assets. Ruralise studies these challenges in six countries and builds a digital hub of tools, data and tested solutions to help policymakers and communities improve rural housing.

Main objectives

1) Analyse rural housing markets and demographic trends across Europe. 2) Test solutions through six real-world pilots. 3) Build the Ruralise Studio, a knowledge and decision-making hub. 4) Deliver housing typologies, roadmaps and policy toolkits for rural communities.
