Pilots new circular business models to make the furniture industry less wasteful and more repair-friendly.

Context

Furniture is often cheap to replace and hard to repair or resell, which creates a lot of waste. CIRCOLINK tests seven different circular business approaches — from consumer schemes to business partnerships — across six countries, studying what actually helps the sector shift away from ‘fast furniture’.

Main objectives

1) Pilot seven circular business models across six countries. 2) Study consumer behaviour, procurement and inter-company collaboration. 3) Develop reskilling programmes for a just transition. 4) Build an AI-based impact assessment framework and scalability roadmap.
