Quentin Groom

Lead of Biodiversity Informatics at Meise Botanical Garden, Coordinator of B-Cubed and OneSTOP Horizon Europe projects.

Whether at work or play, learning and discovering are my passions. I have extensive experience of plant biology, working in respected research groups in Belgium, the UK and the US. My career has paralleled the blossoming of the internet and as an early adopter I’ve embraced this technology. For fun I built one of the earliest sites for plant identification, but now I build and manage several websites providing research data and information on plant biodiversity to the world. Currently, I research plant geography related to invasive species, particularly applying novel methods to reveal patterns hidden in data.
