Walking Budapest’s Degrowth Doughnut with health professionals

Today international group of health professionals in Budapest explore how climate, public health and urban policy can be thought together through the lens of the Budapest Degrowth Doughnut.

Building on our collaboration with Corvinus University of Budapest, the session offers a participatory introduction to the doughnut framework and its health related implications for a just and ecological sound city.

After a concise presentation of the Degrowth Doughnut model developed for Budapest and its link to our DAISY project, participants discuss how the model can help identify social needs and ecological limits at city scale, and what this means for health systems preparing for climate‑related risks.

Today’s encounter is another step in “walking” the Degrowth Doughnut: taking a research‑based framework into live conversations with those shaping public services and everyday life beyond Budapest.
