The Simplified Transformative Diagnostic Tool (TRD2) is a DAISY product that aims to help evaluate an innovation's transformative potential, considering both biodiversity and equity aspects.
Rate your innovation across three themes. Each question gets two ratings — Current potential and Potential by 2050. Drag each slider. If a question feels irrelevant, leave it at 50.
You can download the final product at the end of the exercise. Please note that the TRD2 is more of a conversation starter than an absolute tool. We understand its subjectivity and the uncertainty context, particularly regarding its potential in 2050.
At the end of this exercise, you can optionally provide your name and email address to subscribe to our newsletter and learn more about transformative change projects and events.
Step 1 of 3 — Equity0%
⚖️
Equity
Fairness, inclusion, and justice in how change is shared
Equity refers to justice and fairness in how decisions are made, how benefits and burdens are shared, and how people can participate in shaping change. It includes procedural equity (fair voice), distributive equity (fair sharing of benefits), recognitional equity (valuing different identities), and capabilities equity (freedom and skills to act).

Biodiversity
How the innovation affects the variety of life and ecosystems
Biodiversity is the variety of life on Earth — the differences within species, between species, and across habitats and ecosystems. It sustains the health of the planet and provides essential services such as food, clean water, and climate stability.

Transformation
Deep, system-wide change across personal, practical, and political levels
Transformation means deep, system-wide social change — new ways of thinking, acting, and organising societies. Innovations can trigger transformation at three levels: the personal (values and mindsets), the practical (new actions and technologies), and the political (institutional and structural change).

Personal level — mindsets
Could this innovation genuinely shift how individuals think or feel about sustainability and nature — not just inform, but change values?
