DAISY’s systematic review of 344 EU-funded projects referencing ‘transformation’ has revealed key gaps in how equity, biodiversity, and systemic change are understood and put into practice.
Only 10% adopted a fundamental systems-change approach, and while biodiversity appeared in 37% of projects, it was rarely integrated with justice or transformation.
To jointly assess equity and biodiversity, DAISY is building a Transformative Diagnostic Tool that will be available online in early 2026.
